Hollick Estates, situated on Coonawarra's terra rossa soils, is a boutique winery celebrated for its premium table wines, including unique varietals. The estate encompasses Neilson's Block, Wilgha, and the Red Ridge vineyard in Wrattonbully. Coonawarra offers an extended growing season for Chardonnay, and the Bond Road Coonawarra Chardonnay showcases the region's excellence. Sourced from the Wilgha property, adjacent to Bond Road, the finest fruit parcels undergo fermentation in French oak hogsheads and age on yeast lees for six months. The wine exhibits a complex palate with vibrant green apple, pear, melon, and nectarine flavors. A touch of malolactic fermentation adds softness and a subtle buttery note, culminating in a restrained, crisp finish. Previously named Reserve Chardonnay, it embodies Hollick's commitment to crafting complex and elegant wines.
